Getting to Winthrop is easy and quick - no matter what your mode of transportation.

MBTA - Winthrop is just a short bus ride from Orient Heights "T" Station on the Blue Line of the regional rapid transit system. Orient Heights is only minutes from Logan International Airport and downtown Boston. Parking is available in the Commuter Lots at Orient Heights, as well as Beachmont Station in Revere. Viking Taxi is on call 24 hours a day at 617-846-6000.

Harbor Tunnels - Exiting the Sumner Tunnel from downtown Boston onto Route 1A and then onto Route 145 to Winthrop takes just minutes. Similarly, the new Ted Williams Tunnel has shortened to under 15 minutes, the drive to Winthrop from the Massachusetts Turnpike or the new Convention Center in the South Boston Seaport District.

Boat - The private boater can even arrange to tie up and enjoy a short stay in our lovely coastal community by making advance arrangements with one of the yacht clubs/marinas listed below. Ours is a protected harbor, easily accessible from the open water.  In the near future, a commuter ferry service to and from Downtown Boston may be introduced.
